Celebrated as the first female Canadian country solo artist since Shania Twain to achieve gold single status (with her hit track “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes”), Jess Moskaluke (MDM Recordings Inc./Universal Music Canada) has enjoyed a record-breaking year. As she continues to dazzle the Canadian country music world, receiving multiple accolades and critical acclaim, her rapidly growing fan base is evident. For year-to-date (2015), she is currently the #1 most played Canadian female artist in the Country format, and recently reached over 1 billion YouTube views. A small town girl and proud resident of Langenburg, Saskatchewan, when she first posted her music online only a few short years ago, no one could have anticipated the bright future that lay ahead. Jess agrees, “Everything has happened so quickly, it has been a wild few years! I am so proud to be part of the country music community. We support and celebrate each other and I am thrilled to be a member of the Canadian community and this genre.”
Consecutively crowned the 2014 and 2015 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA®) Female Artist of the Year, she was also the first resident of Saskatchewan in the history of the awards to achieve this title. 2015 continues to be a year of many firsts for Jess, including her first JUNO nominations (Country Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year), a cross Canada tour having joined Chad Brownlee’s When The Lights Go Down Tour, and now her first arena shows this fall! In October Jess will join Paul Brandt and Dean Brody’s Road Trip Tour throughout the Western Canada dates.
