Jessica Wedden is an impressive 14 year old fiddler, step dancer and trick fiddler passionately playing for four and a half years, consistently improving and never ceasing to amaze all of her audiences. Jessica is quick to incorporate fancy bowing techniques, putting her heart and soul into each tune.
With much excitement, Jessica was interviewed live on CKWS TV, The ‘WS Daily, with host Bill Welychka at the Tir Nan Og Pub in Kingston, Ontario. Jessica performed at the CityFolk Music Festival in Ottawa with Koady Chaisson and Jake Charron of the East Pointers from PEI, Graham Lindsey, and also with her fiddle teacher, Cindy Thompson. Jessica opened for the band Beolach from Cape Breton, Everything Fitz at the Perth Kilt Run, performed as a special guest with the Larry Mercey Trio, Scott Woods and at the Pan Am Games Torch Relay in Smiths Falls, Ontario. She has also appeared on stage at the Almonte CeltFest, Stewart Park Music Festival Youth Showcase and with Steve Piticco.
To Jessica’s delight, she was unexpectedly contacted and profiled in the December 2014 issue of Celtic Life Magazine of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
