Uncle Sean & The Shifty Drifters
Sean Oliver (Uncle Sean) is an Ottawa based musician that has been playing outlaw country for the past 10 years. Originally hailing from Sudbury, ON, Sean grew up on a steady diet of Pabst Blue Ribbon, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings & Merle Haggard. His unique blend of old time honky tonk, punk rock swagger and traditional songwriting offers something for all audiences. Reminiscent of a juke box in a rowdy honky tonk, his music will have you foot stomping and hollering in no time. Sean has released two albums with his band, the Shifty Drifters, consisting of Steve Donnelly on standup bass, Ernie Legend on drums, & Karolyne Lafortune on fiddle, along with a rotating cast of banjo and steel guitar players. Uncle Sean & the Shifty Drifters have become a mainstay and a crowd favourite on the Havelock stage. This marking their 4th appearance at the Festival. When they’re not on stage, you can find them entertaining folks long into the morning hours with impromptu campsite jam sessions.
